This species is a small tree, or when young is resembles a large shrub. The crown spreads out and the branches are curved and winding. This species is ornamental and planted in gardens, yards, and parks- you will not find this species out in the woods

Leaves: Due to this tree’s domestic nature, there has been extensive selective breeding and the leaf shape varies. Generally however, there are 7- 11 points either deeply or shallowly divided.
